We were treated with a fabulous Brazilian buffet at a beautiful location few blocks from our hotel.
We had corn masa ham soup (like a pea soup), mixed green salad with goat cheese, the best chicken pie, rice, marinated dried beef, fresh yucca, tapioca with coconut, the best tres leches corn cake for dessert. We met the officers and the rest of the volunteers from the Fundaçao Altimo Ventura, our host and partner for this mission. After the delightful dinner was the presentation on the project timelines on how this collaboration between the Foundation and Onesight started. We will be helping children up to the age of 18 from 10 impoverished cities of Recife that will be trasported to the clinic each day. First day was very long for us after 20 hours of travel but all worth it after meeting everyone. What a fun group! Can`t wait to start our mission today...
